Verify your phone
Text alerts only ever go to one phone: your own, after you confirm it. That is what makes UserAlertX safe to give to an AI agent or a script.
- On your account screen, under Add a cell number, enter your mobile number.
- Tick the consent box (it starts unticked) and click Verify Text.
- You get one text: "UserAlertX: Reply START to approve alerts to this phone." Reply START.
From then on your alerts go straight through.
NoteText is optional. With Delivery method set to Email, you need no phone number at all.
Name the texts on your phone
Download the contact card from your account screen and save it. The name at the top of the texts is your phone's contact name, so you can rename it to anything, like "Server alerts", and give it its own text sound.
New phone or new number
A verified number can't be changed from the account screen. That stops anyone from moving your alerts to another phone. Email [email protected] and we'll clear it; then add the new number and reply START. A number that was never verified you can change yourself, up to 3 times.
