No text arrived?

Most missing texts have one of these causes.

Check these first

1. Did you reply START? Your first alert is held until you reply START to the one-time confirmation text. The API answers 202 held_pending_optin while it waits.
2. Did you reply STOP earlier? Then nothing gets through until you reply START. The API answers 403 stopped.
3. Is the alert about a restricted topic? Then it went to your email instead. See What can't be sent by text.
4. Over the limit? 10 alerts an hour, 50 a day (API answer 429).
5. Out of tokens, or the trial is over? The API answers 402. Choose a plan or buy tokens on your account screen. See Plan, tokens and billing.
6. Delivery method set to Email? Check your account screen.
7. Sent by email? A wrong alert address fails silently; copy it again from your account screen.

• Only confirmed members get group texts: they joined on the invite page and replied YES. Check the People list on the group page.
• A member who replied STOP shows as Stopped.
• The group page shows each text's result, like "2 of 3 (1 not sent)".
