HomeLinkX: a home-screen link for any web page
Put an icon on your phone's home screen that opens any web page: your home router, a dashboard, a school page you open every day. We text you a link; open it once and the icon is there. Works on Android and iPhone, nothing to install.
On this page
Set it up (about a minute)
- Open https://useralertx.com/text-me-a-home-screen-link.html
- Enter the name to show under the icon (for example Weather) and the web address.
- Tap Make it and text it to me.
- Open the link on your phone, then:
- Android (Chrome): tap Add to my phone, then Install. If the icon lands in your app list, long-press it and drag it to the home screen.
- iPhone (Safari): the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
The icon is an orange tile with the first letter of the name (or your own 1 or 2 letters).
Good to know
- Cost: texting you the link is 1 token. Opening the icon is free.
- Any address: we never visit the page; your phone opens it. So it works for pages only your phone can reach, like your router at home.
- Up to 20 links an account. Your account page shows how often each was opened. Delete a link there and its icon stops working.
